What to do at the end of your agreement
To avoid any additional charges, it’s important that you look after your vehicle during your agreement term and return it in good condition.
At the end of the agreement, you simply hand the vehicle back – ensuring that all the documentation detailed below is up to date and submitted when your vehicle is collected. If you need to update the details of where your vehicle can be collected and inspected, please complete our Contract Hire inspection and collection form.
Your vehicle inspection
Our agents, BCA, will contact you on our behalf before your agreement ends to arrange a convenient time to collect and inspect the vehicle.
On the day of inspection please ensure that:
- The vehicle is clean, inside and out
- You have
all the relevant documentation to hand (e.g. tax disc, service book,
MOT certificate etc.)
- You return all equipment supplied with the vehicle (e.g. spare key, satellite navigation, CD/DVD, warning triangle).
The inspector will record any damage (and cost of repair) and you’ll be asked to sign to confirm your acceptance of the report.
Our Fair Wear and Tear guide (BVRLA Industry Standard) has everything you need to know about assessing the condition of your vehicle and will help you avoid any unnecessary charges.
Buying your vehicle
We are unable to sell the vehicle to the agreement holder. But if you know of a third party interested in buying the vehicle, they can get a quote by clicking here.
To ensure we can contact you easily at the end of your agreement, it is important that you keep us updated with your latest contact details – update your personal details.
